Assistant Store Manager

Summit Sports is looking to immediately fill full time openings in the position of Assistant Store Manager. We have several positions available in the S.E. Michigan area. The Assistant Manager is to assist with day-to-day activities in our stores. We enjoy selling Skis, Snowboards, Kayaks, Stand up Paddleboards, Wakeboards , Wakesurfers and much much more. If you have a passion for the outdoors, and enjoy working in a high energy retail environment this could be the perfect job for you!

This position REQUIRES a person that enjoys people and selling outdoor products in a low-pressure sales environment. Daily tasks include being the manager-on-duty, assisting customers in store and over the phone, as well as picking/packing/shipping Internet orders as needed, maintaining inventory, and general store upkeep. Learning and performing ski and kayak repair/installation is another requirement of the position.

Ideal candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • Ability to effectively multi-task
  • Love of the outdoors
  • 1-2 years of Retail experience
  • Skiing/snowboarding or kayaking experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work with hand tools
